"It's the most wonderful time of the year!" But for some, it’s the most depressing time. So Isle of Shoals is bringing you Paradise Lost & Found, a new play to (1) lift your holiday spirits or (2) help you cope with your existential fears of impending doom. "Paradise Lost & Found" is a brand new comedy by Tirosh Schneider, directed by Katie Young. Jack Klugman (no, not the actor), about a 49-year-old sunglasses salesman riddled with regrets. He arrives at the Pearly Gates of Heaven, only to discover that his file has gone missing, and his eternal fate now rests in the hands of a moody 18-year-old judge named Christina Clark. Together they sort through the events of Jack’s life, and ask what it means to be a good person in a world of imperfections. “Paradise Lost & Found” is a buoyant and wistful comedy about love, loss, and the joy of connecting with one another.
Please be advised that this play deals (gently) with topics of suicide and depression. Not unlike its inspiration, the film "It's a Wonderful Life!"
